Dealer Strategy: Selecting a Lithium Supplier
For battery dealers and regional distributors, selecting a lithium battery manufacturer is a critical business choice. High-quality products and clear warranty lines build customer trust. Here is a checklist to evaluate EV battery brands.
1. BIS and ICAT Certifications
Ensure the manufacturer has complete Indian safety certifications (e.g. AIS-156 Phase 2 compliance and BIS registration). Selling non-compliant batteries is illegal and carries significant liability.
2. Quick Warranty Turnaround
Choose manufacturers with testing labs nearby (like Noida) to ensure returned batteries undergo fast capacity auditing without long shipping delays.
3. Real capacity vs Label capacity
Ensure cells deliver the exact rated Ah values on aging machines. Grade-B cells run cheaper but lose capacity within months, leading to customer complaints.
